A Virtual College Fair for Esports

Get Discovered.

The purpose of The Esports Combine™ is to allow for players to learn about school programs around the world while simultaneously allowing those school programs to learn about the students.

For players who attend, they will discover club and varsity programs at colleges and universities near and far, so they can consider those factors when choosing their school.  For some, they will receive invites to join varsity programs and receive scholarship dollars to pursue their dreams of esports stardom.

About the
"Road to Indy"

For the past three years, Indiana-based GYO Score has worked on creating a model that can help esports hopefuls go pro.  While the model has not applied yet to pro esports, in 2019 GYO was pleased to note that dozens of players were being offered scholarships on the platform.  From there, a goal emerged, in development with Indiana Sports Corp, to shape something new and special for esports.

Indianapolis, Indiana was already home to one of the largest skill competitions in the world – the NFL Combine.  Working with Indiana Sports Corp, the team set to immediately begin building an in-person, convention event that could bring players together to show their skills and find scholastic and professional esports recruitment success.

Flash forward to 2020, and COVID has temporarily delayed the in-person plans…. but we wanted to make sure that would not stop us from meeting the needs of gamers looking for an educational pathway through esports.  We welcome you to our virtual event this year and can’t wait to share with you our convention next year!
